The Ishilhayn Strategic Alliance
The Southern Shilha Berbers of Morocco, or Ishilhayn as they call themselves, are an Islamic people who are excellent businessmen and hard workers. Although the Ishilhayn Berbers are 99.5% Muslim, their religion is mingled with mysticism, and the government is open to Western influence.
This presents a spiritual and cultural climate that is ripe for a presentation of the Gospel. Christians are involved in open-air concerts, music festivals, street dramas, and teaching English and friendship evangelism to share the love of God with the Ishilhayn. New believers are in need of discipleship and teaching.
